This book is an insult to Buffy fans. It is yet ANOTHER 3rd season story and is about hungry ghosts and some ass-kicking woman who Xander falls for. It is also boring and has no continuity to the show at all.
It takes place after 'The Zeppo' but there is no mention of Faith, the Ascension, Anya or the Xander/Willow fling. The Mayor appears but there is NOT ONE WORD about the Ascension. Faith and Wesley apparently DO NOT EXIST and Angel and Buffy are still playing suck face.
Do the publishers not realise how deeply stupid it is for 'Angel' to have his own show and book series while the 'Buffy' books are stuck in a timewarp with him still a regular? And when will they stop publishing books set in the 3rd season? It's gotten pathetic at this point. 'Buffy' is in season 5 dealing with the Dawn annoyance, greasy intern Ben, Glory the hellgod (#snicker#) and Joyce who apparently had a BRAIN TUMOR removed through a PORE! Pocket Books should stop publishing crap like this and soon if they want to keep selling 'Buffy' titles. Oh and FYI a little variation in the cover would be nice, I am SO sick of seeing SMG's profile on EVER SINGLE DAMNED BOOKCOVER! This book is landfill, nothing more. I weep for the trees cut down to print it.
