Buffy faces foes on two fronts. Firstly there is a prima donna vampire called Solitaire who wants to duel with the slayer and the vampire has one advantage, he can walk in daylight. Also the new girl group in town is actually ghouls and they have Oz and Xander under their spell and Willow shackled in their basement.
Cordelia helps out but Faith, Wesley and the Mayor do not exist in this book. Could the writers PLEASE move on from season 3?
This is a good book, Cordelia is vile, Willow is non-whiney and Buffy kicks ass. But Solitaire is one big egomaniac and really annoying. The oh-so fearsome vampire Skull John who is stalking Buffy at the start of the book gets his ass roundly kicked and is forgotten about by the book's end.
Where is FAITH? A fun book but we want FAITH!
