From the author who gave us the excellent horror novel 'Wither' comes this the 7th 'Angel' novel. It is an comic-horror tale of a demon that sucks people's innards out so he can be reborn, a cult full of murderous idiots who wish to bind the demon to their will, the demon's moronic human servant and our heroes: Angel, Cordelia and Doyle.
Yes Doyle, he is STILL around. The author dwells on the never-was Doyle/Cordelia possibilities while Kate hangs around acting sane. A nice comic tale but please we want Gunn, we want Faith, we want Wolfram and Hart, We want Drusilla, we want Fred, (we don't want Darla, Wesley, Lorne or to EVER visit that demon world again) - this is a good book but PLEASE get the books series the hell out of the 1st half of Season 1.
