An evil carnival comes to town and lures people in by preying on their weaknesses for the seven deadly sins. Now the gang must work together to fight this enemy.
This is a good tale that takes place in mid season 2. The enemy is unique and has an ally in an old enemy. Can the gang overcome their pride, gluttony, greed, lust, wrath and envy and defeat the baddies or will Sunnydale be destroyed? Well, we know they win, it's how they win that's the good part.
There are lots of references/hints at future events (Jenny's spying, The Initative, the Double Meat Palace, bad Willow and an Angel / Cordy hookup)
Some questions though:
Do this book and the previous 'Afterlife' take place in season 2 because with the end of the 'Angel' book series this is the only way to include Cordelia and Angel in the books?
Why is Buffy called the reigning slayer? Doesn't the slayer line run through Kendra at this point in time?
Didn't an episode of 'Charmed' have the exact same plot?
According to season 5, those damn monks overwrote everyone's memories (Angel and Faith included) so that Dawn was there all along so why is Dawn not in this book or 'Afterlife'?
