Magic Burns

The sequel to 'Magic Bites'.

Kate Daniels continues cleaning up after magic gone wrong but this time things are really bad. Two figures from ancient Irish mythology are battling to be reborn and Kate and her allies have to stop them or everyone in the city will die.

Alongside the action packed plot of bloodthirsty not so mythological figures, we get Kate dealing with two troubled streetkids, a co-workers secret and Kate's own secret. After the hints laid in 'Magic Bites', Kate's bloodline is revealed to the reader. It's an intriguing reveal and sets up plot for future books in this series.

An fast paced, humourous mix of magic and blood. The world building and alternative history is complex, unique and interesting. I look forward to many more visits to Kate and her world.

Recommended.
