Detective Mark Santini (Rob Lowe - 'The West Wing', 'The Lyon's Den', 'Bad Influence') is on holiday when he spots fugitive money-laundering schemer Eddie Meyers (Sam Neill - 'In The Mouth Of Madness', 'Snow White: A Tale of Terror', 'Jurassic Park', 'Event Horizon') and makes a possibly career making arrest.
Eddie is taken back to the states and offered immunity if he testifies against his money-laundering mob boss. Mark is asked to get information out of Eddie and so a battle of wits begins. Eddie has his own agenda and manipulates everyone to get what he wants, Mark tries to keep up but is left flapping around like a distressed goldfish in Eddie's wake.
A wonderfully entertaining movie with a sublime performance by Neill who plays the smooth talking, charming baddie with relish.
Recommended.
