Claire whines, the Typhoid Twins bore, Nathan has a wildman beard and the Shanti plague plot meanders on. Dull, except for any scene with Mr Muggles. He steals the show, no really. Mr Muggles did some funny stuff in this episode.

• Where is Claude?
• Why does Hiro not travel back to his own time?
• What did the older heroes do that was so bad?
• Kendo is a hero. He heals.
• How did Ma Petrelli know Matt was reading her mind?

A whole bunch of unconnected plots this week. Claire bonds with West her flying stalker (someone has daddy issues) and learns that her vile father abducted West once upon a time. Peter is still trapped in the idiot Irish mob plot. The Typhoid Twins irritate and bore. Nikki and Micah are back but DL is dead. Hiro's 'Shogun' hijinks are now turning into a training montage from an 80's movie. But worst of all, Sylar is back. WTF is TPTB fascination with Sylar? It's like 'Alias' and their stubborn refusal to kill Sloane, ever. Uh.

Comments:

• Stupidest Hero of the week award goes to Candice. How dumb was she?
• Since when do Irish security guards carry guns?
• Was that Guinness the Irish mob goons were drinking?
• Mr Bennett is a vile human being.

Guest Starring: Nichelle Nichols

Micah and his cousins bond over a pirated WWE PPV. Matt and Nathan bond. Matt learns his daddy is evil. Mr Bennett stalks his daughter. Molly shrieks. The Typhoid Twins meet Sylar. A new hero, Monica, debuts memorably. A good episode, mostly because the plot was interesting and there was no Peter or Hiro.

• The tomato rose.
• Claire and West flying off behind an oblivious Mr Bennett.
• The old heroes photo.
• Claire and West at the Hollywood sign.
• Monica does the 619 on a thief.

Comments:

• So Matt divorced Janice because of her cheating and because the baby she tried to pin on him, wasn't his. But why then in 'Five Years Gone' where Janice and 'Matt Jnr' in hiding?
• Why is Claire allowed to go to school with her bra on full display?
• Claire's story is basically her season 1 story rehashed.
• Nathan shaves off his wildman beard but doesn't comb his hair. Isn't he a congressman anyway?
• Ma Petrelli is arrested.
• Maya (female Typhoid Twin) has excessively shiny veneers.
• Matt's dad is not only a criminal, he's the bogeyman. Mmm, interesting considering Matt's own bogeyman act in 'Five Years Gone'.
• The WWE patent all their wrestlers signature moves, I wonder how much TPTB had to pay for using the 619.

Peter is hunted by a new baddie (Kristen Bell - 'Veronica Mars'). Ando tries to decipher Hiro's accounts of his quest of boredom. Nathan and Matt meet Matt's evil dad. Monica and Micah bond over heroes. Nikki's interminable Jessica issues go on. Are the events depicted in this episode meant be happening at the same time? Dull.

Comments:

• I am so sick of that rooftop, it sees more action then Paris Hilton's hoohaa.
• So was Matt the father of Janice's baby after all? And he still left?
• How did Nathan and Matt get to Philly? Did Matt sit on Nathan's back?
• Nathan is lucky that Matt and his multiple chins didn't squish him during their nightmare induced fight.

Highlights:

• The plague devastated NY.
• Caitlin's fate. That's a pretty horrible thing to happen.

Comments:

• Matt rants about his father abandoning him. Then coos loving at Molly while overlooking his own child he walked out on. Hypocrisy thy name is Matt Parkman.
• Kensi shows up, he's apparently immortal and his name is now Adam and he knows Peter and he's killing the elder heroes.
• Matt's dad was this mythical evil bogeyman yet Matt manages to trap him in a nightmare forever. So are we to infer that Matt is more powerful then his evil pa? Is this a foreshadowing that the smug, murderous, powerful Matt of 'Five Years Gone' is what Matt will turn into?

This episode does exactly what it says on the tin. Maya killed everyone at her brother's wedding with her goo eyes of death and then killed some more people when her brother turned her over to the cops. then they went on the run. Meanwhile Peter barbequed Nathan and ended up being imprisoned by The Company. His cell was next door to Adam's, they escaped together, Adam cured Nathan and Peter ended up in a shipping crate. How Nathan didn't die of radiation poisoning while waiting for Peter and Adam to break out was not explained. Meanwhile Nikki is mental (no one cares) and DL becomes a real hero only to die thanks to Nikki. Poor guy. An okay episode.

• Elle's shoes.

Comments:

• Why didn't Nathan die of radiation poisoning? Why was his miraculous recovery not questioned? Why did Heidi and the kids leave him?
• Some new life the Haitian gave Peter handcuffing him into a shipping crate half naked and wiping his memories.
• I don't think Maya could have become a nun that fast.
• Poor DL.
• What exactly is the Typhoid Twins power?
• Nikki's endless mental issues aren't interesting.

Guest Starring: George Takei

Matt goes all Darth Vader with his telepathy. West and Mr Bennett ally to attack Elle and rescue Claire. Meanwhile Hiro travels back in time to fix things, because that has worked out so well every time he's done it before. Okay.

Highlights:

• Elle and the dog bath.
• West and Claire falling.
• Matt interrogating Angela.

Comments:

• So Bob is Elle's father and experimented on her and turned her into a psycho. Mr Bennett witnessed Elle's childhhod trauma and did nothing to stop it.
• How did West not die after that massive fall?
• The ending with the fake out death was BS.

Mr Bennett is locked up by The Company. Sylar manipulates girl Typhoid Twin and kills boy Typhoid Twin. Claire and Elle have a staredown. Micah and his cousin annoy some gangbangers. Hiro and Peter have a face-off. More set-up for 'Powerless' than anything else. Unanswered questions remain: How did Sylar find Molly? Doesn't Claire remember what her father did to Zack? How does Lyle feel being constantly overlooked? Isn't Ando tired of being Hiro's personal google?

Highlight: Nathan and Matt flying. Heh.

• Hiro has no reaction to seeing Matt even after the events of 'Five Years Gone'.
• Why didn't Monica free herself with some of her muscle memory powers?
• How did Hiro get Adam into the grave?
• Who shot Nathan?
